Vaccinations are polarizing. The left sees a public health issue and triumph of science. The right sees government control, invasion of family, a chance to distort statistics to produce fear, and yes, elitism. Elitist scientists.
It isn’t hard to see the sides splitting. In fact, the hard part is fitting it all on one screen. So here are three screen-grabs from CivicFeed, searching for /vaccin*/, that is, vaccine, vaccines, vaccination, vaccinated, etc.
It’s always sad to see partisanship creep into things like health, but perhaps the planet is ready for a nice new plague.
Yes, “vaccinated, microchipped” in large font means that it is repeated a lot.
Those are from the right-rated media and the left-rated media. There is a center:
The center is not where the excitement is typically, but it’s usually the most informative. For example, I just learned that in 1902 Cambridge, Massachusetts mandated smallpox vaccinations. No doubt, we need to return to thought leaders like Cambridge, Massachusetts, not just following twitter trolls. And Russians. https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/04/09/in-the-united-states-russian-trolls-are-peddling-measles-disinformation-on-twitter/ (See also LA Times, NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, Independent UK, even Fox News on how Russian bots are behind anti-vaxxer messaging.)
